How is the catalog different from invoice line items?

The catalog is your master product/service database — a single source of truth for titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, and custom fields. When you create an invoice or estimate, you select items from the catalog. Line items on invoices can be customized per transaction (adjusted price, quantity, discount) without changing the catalog entry.

Can I organize products into categories?

Yes. Create categories and subcategories to organize your catalog. You can nest categories for complex product hierarchies — for example, Software > Licenses > Annual, or Services > Consulting > Implementation. Categories make it easy to browse and filter products when creating invoices.

What are bundled products?

Bundled products combine multiple catalog items into a single line item. For example, a "Starter Package" bundle might include a software license, 10 hours of setup, and 3 months of support. When added to an invoice, the bundle appears as one line item but tracks each component internally.

Can I add custom fields to catalog items?
